I’m AJ, the traveling healer.
When people ask me what I do, sometimes it’s hard to describe. I like to say I am improving the lives of animals while falling in love with the world. I combine ancient methods of Traditional Chinese Medicine and energy healing with today’s technology for healing in the modern world.
Wherever I go, I’m home.
I’m often found at horse barns, competitions, clinics, and in living rooms. I go wherever the animals are and where they need me to be. The best part of my job is working with an animal at their home barn and then going to a show or competition and seeing them excel. I’m really able to get to know their “normal” and then be able to recognize more quickly when something is starting to need attention.

Lifelong Learning
My adventure into animal energy healing started back in college when I was absolutely amazed by a veterinarian who used energetic testing to accurately pinpoint a horse’s mysterious injury. Since then, I’ve never stopped looking for the best ways to connect with animals and make their day a little better.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Equine Science and am certified in large and small animal acupressure, light therapy, and Quantum Reiki. With over 3 decades of hands-on experience with horses, I’ve explored various disciplines, including eventing, hunter-jumpers, driving, polo & reining.
Working in collaboration
Here at New Future Healing Arts, my techs and I often collaborate with veterinarians to facilitate the healing process for animals recovering from injuries or illnesses. This partnership ensures a comprehensive and integrative approach to care, maximizing the chances of a successful recovery.
I’m always looking for ways to work in collaboration with other bodywork specialists, behavior modification professionals, trainers, farriers, massage therapists, and animal communicators. Everyone is on the same page: let’s make animals feel and perform at their best!
my equine teachers
My homebred Morgan, Luka, has been my muse in the world of alternative medicine and energy healing for animals. Luka and I have had 21 incredible years together, 15 of those spent competing nationally in eventing, hunters, jumpers, trail, and breed shows. This journey has taught me the importance of trust and partnership, and he continues to humble me as I learn to listen better.
Sabi was originally purchased to be a companion to my older mini Leya and quickly enamored herself to everyone (except Leya, ironically). When we sold our farm, I sent her for driving training and she turned out to be a fabulous show pony! In 2022 I showed her for the first time, having success in driving, jumping, halter obstacles, and basically anything we tried. Together we’ve won multiple Grand and Reserve Grand Championships, including Reserve National Champion in Showmanship in 2024. She’s my best little bud and I love her snoot boops!
